Two worries. Negative and positive.
Negative worry is about problems.
Positive worry transcends problems
and creates a new path.
from One Breath at a Time
As Dr. Maltz taught in Psycho-Cybernetics, worry is the negative use of your imagination. You picture something in the future and the image you see is horrible.
When you picture something negative in the future, you instantly feel fear, anger, horror and panic.
But when you turn worry into something positive, you picture what you want.
To enhance your mental imagery even more, here’s how you can verbally turn the following situations around:
You’re worried that you’re going to lose your job.
“I’m worried I am going to keep my job or somehow get an even better one.”
You’re worried about a trip you’re going to take.
“I’m worried that I’m going to have an incredible trip.”
I’m worried that I’m going to be homeless.
“I’m worried I’m going to make so much money I will feel totally relieved from life’s burdens.”
Postive Worry!
Give it a whirl and change your whirld for the better.
