There are two waitresses who work at the same restaurant I frequent. Both are the same age. One is a total delight to be around. The other, well, let’s just say she’s “ho-hum.”
Both of these women earn the same wage – and whatever they receive as tips. The delightful waitress receives an abundance of tips; the “ho-hum” waitress only gets the minimum people feel they “should” give.
I’ve made a list of ALL the differences between the two waitresses.
One is taller – the other shorter.
One is blonde – the other brunette.
One wears glasses – the other contacs.
One wears nice clothes – the other wears old clothes.
And so on….
I’ve asked myself why I tip the “delightful” waitress more than the “ho-hum.”
And you know what? It has nothing to do with who is blonde, who wears glasses, who is taller – and so on.
The only factor that plays a role in how much I tip is based on a simple facial expression.
That’s right. It all comes down to a single gesture.
What is it?
A genuine, authentic “glad to see you” smile.
The delightful waitress is delightful because she always looks me in the eyes and smiles broadly. And it’s not a “business smile.”
The other waitress NEVER smiles.
I’ve never seen her smile a single time. Not to say hello. Not to say goodbye.
Now, you might say that one waitress has more reason to smile than the other. But then again, you don’t know which
is which.
I’ve been in plenty of restaurants and tipped more than the standard – and the person whom I over-tipped was not playmate-of-the-month. I tip based upon the good feelings I get from whomever waits on me.
Now, if the above is true when I go out to eat – how true do you think it is in other situations as well.
And can you IMAGINE that I had the audacity to make the acquisition of a Power Smile one of the keys to magnetizing money in my book, 101 Ways to Magnetize Money.
That I did.
Why?
Because it’s the unvarnished truth.
No matter how rough you’ve got it, no matter how tough the times are we’re living in – dig deep and find a way to smile. Doing so will make you happier and healthier. It will also make it easier for you to achieve any goal you have.
Even if your goal is writing a book. If you smile while writing, it’ll come through energetically when others read what you wrote. It will also free your mind so that you can write with passion, purpose and power.
After you’ve formed your idea to write a book – how about smiling at the prospect of having 1,000,000 people on this planet purchase a copy. Wouldn’t that be awesome?
Think how much MORE you’ll have to smile about when you enrich your own life by enriching other’s.
You can learn how NOW – by immediate download. That’s right. I have over $317 worth of goodies to give you.
