Have you been taught to set goals with no limits, to set big, hairy, audacious goals that scare you?
If you have, ask yourself, How many of my goals have been accomplished?
Chances are, if you’re similar to most people I’ve met, at the end of each year, you have a long list of unaccomplished goals. And you may think that YOU are to blame, that it’s all your fault.
Well, I’m here to tell you something refreshing. No, I am not going to say that it IS or ISN’T your fault.
What I am going to tell you is that you’ve been taught wrong. You’ve been taught an inferior method of creating the results you want.
The key to success is NOT long-range goals that are big and hairy and scary.
The key is gaining momentum with shorter-range goals that build so much passion, drive, confidence and courage within you that you are literally catapulted onto achieving BIGGER goals that DO NOT scare you.
I use the word ‘catapulted’ for a reason because it implies you are LIFTED out of your present circumstances by a force that has your back. You’re not fighting yourself. You’re not struggling. Instead, you are knocking off so many smaller goals that you cannot help but think BIGGER. And as you think BIGGER, you don’t even think you are thinking BIGGER.
How you are thinking is a natural byproduct of momentum. Along with this momentum is a track-record of success that supports you, that gives you confidence and courage.
The above is covered in Zero Resistance Living as well as in my new book, One Breath at a Time.
I suggest you delve into both of these programs, unless, of course, you enjoy rewriting the same list of goals each year, with little to show for it, except for a weak feeling of hope that this time things will turn out differently.
There’s a lot to glean from today’s email, in and of itself… but if you want more, those links shown above are waiting for you. Will you respond to that inner calling you have within to make a change for the better?
See it. Feel it. Become it.
