On page 285 of Psycho-Cybernetics, Updated and Expanded, you’ll find the following:
The most adequate and realistic self-image of all is to conceive of yourself as “made in the image of God.”
“You cannot believe yourself the image of God, deeply and sincerely, with full conviction, and not receive a new source of strength and power,” said Dr. Frank G. Slaughter.
All throughout Psycho-Cybernetics, you can find similar references to “being created in the image of God.”
What makes the reference on page 285 different is that Dr. Maltz didn’t say it by himself, he added the words of Dr. Slaughter.
One day, out of curiosity, I decided to look up the name Dr. Frank G. Slaughter, to see what I could find.
I didn’t expect to discover what I found.
Not only was Dr. Slaughter an M.D., but, similar to Maltz, was also a writer.
Now get this: 60 million copies of Dr. Slaughter’s books have been sold – which means that along with Dr. Maltz, we’re looking at almost 100 million books sold.
No wonder Dr. Maltz quoted him.
Together they were living proof that the Creator worked through them as they wrote.
