This morning is Father’s Day here in China. I celebrated it early with my son, Frank. Our celebration wasn’t a party, though – or the giving of gifts. It was a workout wherein we practiced a variety of exercises that strengthen the connection between mind and body. At the end of the workout I spoke to Frank about how the mind works – how we get the most out of ourselves when we have a goal. I talked to him about the awesome power of our creative imagination – how we accomplish great works when we combine imagination with action. At the end of the session I whispered a positive phrase that I want him to remember forever. I gave him a formula to make this phrase part of every cell in his mind and body.
Something About My Mother
I just had lunch with my mom. She turned 81 today. Afterward we took her to Baskin-Robbins to pick up a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.
This is the one day each year that she will eat sweets. Not kidding. From the time I was a lad she refrained from eating chocolate and other sugary snacks – until her birthday. Then it was open season.
You might wonder how someone could be so disciplined year in and year out. Part of the answer can be found in her ability to block things out of her mind that are not in alignment with her purpose. Yes, she might open the door one day per year – but that door was sealed tight before midnight the same day.
My mother began teaching me how to block distracting thoughts when I was in grade school. And when I did as she advised, I would coast through the day without a single worry.
Later on, when I struggled to become a champion wrestler, my mother’s wisdom often came in handy. She always seemed to know how to tell a story that would change the way I thought about a situation.
In another 11 days we’ll be celebrating Mother’s Day. Start thinking now about something you can do to show your love and appreciation for the woman who helped bring you into the world.
By the way, in another 16 days, the first day of my Get Tough Fitness Seminar will begin – a seminar in which I teach the mental and physical keys to health and fitness.
My mom and dad will be there – along with Dan Gable, my college wrestling coach – and another 81-year old, Sakai Yusai – aka the Japanese Superman.
Hope you can make it. Only a couple seats remain.
Go here and enroll NOW.

Today’s the BIG DAY
Each day is as big as we choose to make it. And yes, we do MAKE our own way each and every day.
There’s nothing special about any date in time other than the focus and meaning and concentration you ascribe to it.
Today is a BIG day for Texas and Ohio because of the political primaries. But it’s a BIG day elsewhere for some one else for an entirely different reason.
Perhaps it’s the day you go for a raise and get it. Or it’s the day you score the winning basket in a game – or the day you set a record in sales.
Maybe it’s the day you make a big decision or achieve a goal you’ve worked on for a long time.
Whatever it is, think of the mindset you went to bed with the night before the BIG DAY.
You breathed different. You pictured things in your mind in a different way. You talked to yourself and carried your self with a very different energy.
Why.
Because of the meaning you gave to the day.
Imagine if you lived every day as if it was the BIG DAY.
Imagine how life would be if every night before bed you thought to yourself, “Aaah, tomorrow is BIG because ….”
It’s not too hard to do.
Sakai Yusai, the Tendai monk called the Japanese Superman and considered a Living Buddha in Japan – ran 1,000 marathons in seven years. Then he did it again. The second time in six years.
One of his sayings: “Live each day as if it were your whole life.”
Think about that one for a moment.
It’s a powerful way to think of each day as the BIG DAY, don’t you think.
We’re familiar with the saying, “Live each day as if it were your last.” Tis a great thought, too. But I think living each day as if it’s your whole life forces you to go DEEPER – to really pay attention to everything in a more powerful way.
I hope you’ll come meet Sakai Yusai this May, when he participates in my Get Tough Ultimate Fitness Challenge. For details go to www.gettough.com

The Snooze Button
Imagination and reality are separated by a fine line that pulls you from one level of experience into the other.
Take time to imagine what you want today. Run the movies in your mind and you may be surprised to see yourself acting out the very things you picture.
Before bed tonight, picture yourself getting up early to work on a specific goal, instead of seeing the old photo of yourself hitting the snooze button; or getting up tired.
See yourself excited to be getting up – instead of dreading doing so.
Don’t just tell yourself that you’re going to get up early tomorrow to do something positive – see yourself doing it.
If you’re willing – I believe you’ll understand how your imagination pulls you into reality.

7 Suggestions to Follow
This morning my son, Frank, walked into the bathroom when I was shaving. He noticed a stop watch next to the sink.
“Daddy, what are you timing yourself for,” he asked.
“So I get you to school on time,” I said. “I give myself four minutes to shave. If I don’t time myself I’ll take too much time and you’ll be late because of me. The timer keeps me honest.”
After shaving I walked into the living room and saw my daughter, waiting for me.
“Let’s go. Let’s go,” I said. “Get in the car now. We want to be on time. I’ll be out in a minute.”
My kids marched to the car, got in and I soon followed.
On the way to their respective schools I joked around with them and talked about the power of Imagination – and how they can imagine themselves getting smarter and smarter – learning faster and faster. I talked about SEEING the report card you want with the marks you’d like written all over it.
I can assure you this was not the first time I have told them this. Nor will it be the last.
In order to be successful, repetition is paramount. And you cannot repeat something valuable too often. First you plant the seed – then you water and fertilize it.
This is what you do when raising children; this is what you do when coaching yourself.
It’s not coincidental that many of our greatest thinkers can rattle off a string of their favorite quotes, from memory.
Ever wonder why. It’s because they continually reinforced the good things they needed to learn.
When John Wooden, the great coach at UCLA was in grade school, his father gave him a card entitled, 7 Suggestions to Follow.
They were:
1. Be true to yourself.
2. Help others.
3. Make each day your masterpiece.
4. Drink deeply from good books, especially the Good Book.
5. Make friendship a fine art.
6. Build a shelter for a rainy day.
7. Pray for guidance, and count and give thanks for your blessings each day.
Wooden, now 97, still keeps the card with him and recalls it often.
Such a simple thing, really.
Daily reinforcement of the basics can and will take you all the way to the top.
Why – because so much of being successful is remembering what to think and what to do. Most people forget far too soon.
The great ones don’t. They remember to remember.
Remember that.

P.S. The Zero Resistance Living program will help you remember to remember. It’s like a stop watch before you at all times. Keeping you aware of what your goals are; making sure you get where you want to go – on time.
My Wife Doesn’t Believe It
Last night I received the following email from a reader in India. It’s got SUCCESS written all over it. Read and see why:
Dear Matthew,
I too would like to tell you my experience with my eight-year old son, Mehul, in far away India. In India we have a ranking system in school. Mehul stood eighth rank in the first term exams. During that time i was reading Psycho-Cybernetics and I trusted that this book will surely make him leap to the first rank. So from the very next day i asked him to meditate for only 10 minutes.
He was to visualize that the principal of the school called out his name for the first rank and he was going ahead to pick the trophy. i asked him visualize in vivid details everything – the smile on his friends face, the standing ovation he got etc.
He too believed in this idea and never missed a single day of visualization. You won’t believe it the class teacher called and informed us just before the third term was to start that Mehul has stood first in his class.
I would like to add that he still continues his visualization without missing even a single day and his performance in all the spheres has been top class. He was a timid introverted boy and now people don’t believe whether he is the same guy.
He is developing into a talented dancer when before he was not able to stand in front of an audience.
i don’t understand when it is so easy to make a eight year old boy understand the power of visualization, the grown ups are so skeptical and doubtful when I suggest this technique. I feel they fear success more then anything else.
My wife has seen this transformation but when i suggest it to her turn to try this great method she does not seem enthusiastic. It will be many more times more effective for her but i am not able to convince her.
Matthew will you be able to help her?
Regards,
Manoj
MJF: Manoj, first off, I commend you for the positive influence you are having on your son. Now that he is in the top rank it is important to continually emphasize to him that the journey is, in truth, more important than the rank. If he continually puts forth his best effort, and does not need to be motivated by external awards, if he is inspired rather than motivated, I think you and he will both be all the better for it.
As for your wife, it is not your job to make sure she believes everything you believe or that your son believes. Continue to love her and support her even if she never opens to these teachings. YOU and you alone are under your control. Your son took to visualization because he wanted to. You’ve been the guide – yet he could have refused to be open, too, if he wanted.
If you always remember to ask yourself, when frustrated, what is and what isn’t under your control; what is and what isn’t your business – I believe you’ll enjoy even more moments of inner peace and happiness than you now experience.
Best to you and your family. And thank you for writing to let me know how everything is going with your son.

What We’re Teaching Kids Today
The other day, John, a member of my Psycho-Cyb coaching program, sent me the following note:
Matt,
My 9 year old grandson has been having some trouble in school over the last few months. My wife and daughter were offering the usual threats/incentives. I took a different tack. I told him that every morning when he gets out of bed to imagine he is holding a HUGE report card that fills the room and that there are A’s and B’s on it.Also, that there’s all sorts of people who want to high five him for the good grades. And to jump around the room high fiving all those people. You should see the smile on his face as he thinks about it.
Friday, I go over to his house to pick him up for the weekend and right away he pulls me over to show me his work book for the week. He says “Papa, I’ve
been magining.”And the papers he showed me ALL SHOW IMPROVEMENT.
Matt, I love this little boy more than I’ve loved anyone in the whole world. There’s no words that allow me to thank you enough for teaching me how to help him.
John
MJF: John, the pleasure is all mine. What we teach young children is incredibly important. And as you’ve said, it all starts in the ‘magination.
Let me tell you a similar story with my son, Frank.
On Saturday Frank was getting ready for his final soccer game of the year. It’s his first year in this sport while many of the other kids in the league are already in their third and fourth season. So Frank has had a lot of catching up to do.
Before Saturday’s game, for the entire season, Frank had only scored three goals. I told Frank that this number was nothing to be ashamed of. Most important was that he try his hardest; that he put forth his best effort, win or lose, every time he plays.
Then I told him that the three goals he’d made were successful experiences he could draw energy from and re-create,
over and over.
He asked how, so I guided him through a very quick visualization, reliving the three goals he made. Then I told him to imagine scoring one goal after another.
He did this for five minutes or so.
That was it.
Well, guess what happened in the game. Frank scored a goal.
But not just one goal.
And not just two.
He scored THREE goals in the same game.
Young children’s minds are wide open to the power of suggestion. When you teach them how to imagine, how to visualize, the results can come FAR, FAR FASTER than adults who are skeptical and filled with doubt and fear.
Reminds me of the Bible passage on how we must become like little children to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Matthew Furey
P.S. Someone asked me yesterday if my TRUMP CARD offer has anything to do with Donald Trump. The answer is “no.” What it has to do with is YOU and the success you can and will enjoy in the future, when you play your cards to the best of your ability. Go here and order yours now.
Land of Milk and Buzzing
Yesterday’s “Whew” email got quite a reaction. Many coaches, teachers and managers wrote to say how valuable the tip was and how they forwarded it to many friends and colleagues.
For this, I thank you.
Today I’d like to talk about visualization a bit – but mostly about how you will FEEL (as well as look) when you’re doing it the Psycho-Cyb way.
Quite often, those who leave my seminars and coaching days write to tell me they’re still “BUZZING.”
And this is the right word.
When you visualize the right way, it’s like you’ve entered the Promised Land – the Land of Milk and Honey. Only difference is when you drink cosmic milk and honey – you don’t just feel more energized – you BUZZ with energy.
You vibrate at a whole new level.
This BUZZ can be detected by others, even if you’re sitting by yourself, calmly reading a book – eating a meal or having a conversation.
It can be felt by others when you enter a room. Tis why people respond to you differently when you’re regularly Psycho-Cyb’ing yourself – or getting Psycho-
Cyb’d by me.
When you’ve been Psycho-Cyb’d – your face takes on a whole new look. Pain and frustration are replaced with a Cheshire cat grin. The cat has been let out of the bag – and unconditional happiness abounds.
You realize you can be happy anytime. Not just when you achieve a goal – but on the path to the goal.
As you progress into more advanced studies in Psycho-Cyb, you will discover that others begin to BUZZ when they listen to you talk, when they read your written words – or when they simply hang around you.
I was first made aware of this in 1988, a year after picking up, reading and LIVING the principles I teach today.
I was in Ashland, Oregon, working a wrestling camp. Upon being introduced to another coach, we shook hands. He then turned to the man and introduced us and said, “Wow, what’s going on with this guy. He’s got some energy, eh.”
I had no idea what the man experienced – no idea what he was even talking about. But I do today.
He was not referring to the strength of my grip – as I never shake hands with a finger-breaking grip. In fact, my handshake is surprisingly soft.
What he was referring to was the BUZZ coming from inside. The electricity inside the handshake. An electricity that makes people feel welcome when they meet you.
You can develop this same sort of electrical buzz and magnetism, too, when you study what I am teaching.

Da Vinci and Disney did it
One of my MasterMind members, Kevin Thompson, swears that there is one thing he began doing – and it turned the corner for him.
Prior to doing this Kevin frequently set goals – yet still struggled to reach them. Then one day he decided to put up pictures of what he wanted.
He put up a picture of a HUMMER – sort of like mine. And got one. He put up a picture of a luxurious home. And got that, too.
“Well, that’s easy to explain – afterall, all you have to do is go to a dealership and buy one, right.”
Yes, you are right – AFTER you eliminate the fear or doubt that you’ve let stand in your way of having what you want.
But there’s one more thing you’re missing. When Kevin put the photo for the HUMMER up he didn’t have the funds to get one and he didn’t qualify for a major loan.
As for the house, he most definitely didn’t have the bux set aside for it. Not only that, but on the day he moved into the very house he pinned a picture of on the wall – he didn’t even realize it. It wasn’t until his son showed him the photo of the family’s NEW house that he realized – “Oh my God.”
At this point tears flowed.
Not an uncommon occurrence, even for big, tough men.
This same story was told to me last September by Ron Ipach – after I spoke at his seminar in San Antonio, Texas.
Those who have watched the movie The Secret – heard John Assaraf tell the same sort of story.
Years ago Leonardo da Vinci hung pictures up to help him with his creations. Last time I checked he was no slouch in the creative world.
Yet, perhaps you didn’t know that Walt Disney modeled the same idea.
My friend, training your mind to think in pictures is perhaps the most important goal getting skill you can learn. I am very particular about anything that goes on the walls in my home or office. Nothing is put up without me taking the time to think about the psychological, spiritual … even the metaphysical effect it can have on my life.
All this spells out the reason why I had a Wheel of Fortune poster made last fall. I wanted to create a poster that I could give to people who want to put this magnetic success secret into practice … and NOW.
I’m prepared to give you a Wheel of Fortune poster, too – but they’re only being made available to members of the Psycho-Cybernetics Success Group. Maybe I’m asking too much of you to be a member – but based on the response I’ve gotten so far, I don’t think so.
Besides, as a member, each month you’ll receive a new breakthrough visualization CD, a Success Scroll and Success Reminder Card – as well as a riveting newsletter that plants the power of thinking in mental pictures deep into your mind.
Give the program a shot for a month and I’ll send you the Wheel of Fortune poster gratis – along with a Zero Resistance to Success Certificate – suitable for framing – signed by yours truly.
